Abstract:MetaTrader 5 has expanded its AI Assistant with new tools for strategy testing, optimization, log analysis and chart indicators, while also updating MQL5 and the web terminal.

MetaTrader 5 has expanded the role of its built-in AI Assistant, giving it more direct access to the Strategy Tester and tools used for automated trading.
The latest update allows the assistant to retrieve testing reports, read logs, check current tester settings and help launch Expert Advisor optimizations.
For forex traders using automated strategies, this moves the AI function beyond coding assistance and closer to the testing and troubleshooting process.
The AI Assistant can now retrieve results from strategy tests and optimization runs, making it possible to analyze an Expert Advisor without manually exporting the report.
It can also check which Expert Advisor, currency pair and timeframe are currently selected before a test begins.
Tester logs and terminal logs can now be read by the assistant as well. This gives it access to error messages and other information generated while an EA is running or being tested.
Another addition allows indicators to be placed directly on charts with specified parameters. A request such as adding moving averages with selected periods can now be handled through the assistant.
The update adds several new methods for complex matrices and vectors in MQL5.
These changes mainly affect developers working with mathematical models, data processing and more complex trading algorithms rather than ordinary manual trading.
The Strategy Tester also received a fix for chart-event handling during visual tests.
The MT5 web terminal has also changed how Stop Loss and Take Profit levels are handled on netting accounts.
When a new trade is placed on an instrument that already has an open position, the existing stop levels are now automatically carried into the order window.
The change reduces the chance of an existing Stop Loss or Take Profit being unintentionally removed when another order is submitted.
Other fixes address repeated instrument-data loading and cases where quotes failed to appear after a symbol was added to Market Watch.
The update follows a series of recent changes that have brought AI tools deeper into the MT5 environment.
The latest release is more focused on practical tasks around Expert Advisors: testing a strategy, reviewing results, finding errors and adjusting optimization settings.
For forex traders relying on automated systems, the main change is that more of this work can now be handled without leaving the trading platform.
