MetaTrader 5 Expands Infrastructure With New Amsterdam Hosting for Backup Servers

WikiFX
| 2026-06-26 09:53

Abstract:MetaQuotes has expanded MetaTrader 5 infrastructure with a new hosting site in Amsterdam, allowing brokers to deploy backup servers to improve redundancy, reduce outage risk, and strengthen trading system stability across global markets.

MetaQuotes has added a new hosting location in Amsterdam to its MetaTrader 5 infrastructure network, giving brokers an additional option for deploying backup trading servers in Europe.

The expansion is part of the companys ongoing effort to strengthen the technical backbone behind its trading ecosystem, which supports a large share of global retail FX and CFD brokers.

Amsterdam Becomes a New Redundancy Hub

With the latest rollout, brokers using MetaTrader 5 can now place backup servers in Amsterdam to complement their primary trading infrastructure elsewhere.

The backup system is designed to continuously synchronize with the main server. In the event of a system failure or disruption, it can take over trading operations to maintain platform continuity.

For brokers, the addition of Amsterdam introduces another layer of geographic diversification, reducing reliance on a single data center or regional network.

Focus on Stability and Business Continuity

The move reflects a broader industry trend toward stronger risk controls in trading infrastructure, particularly among retail brokers handling high volumes of client orders.

By separating primary and backup servers across different jurisdictions, firms can reduce exposure to localized outages affecting connectivity, power supply, or network providers.

For example, a broker running its main MetaTrader 5 server in London can now position its backup system in Amsterdam, improving resilience across European trading routes.

MetaQuotes has stated that the purpose of this setup is to enhance geographic redundancy and improve operational stability for brokerage clients.

Amsterdams Role in European Trading Infrastructure

Amsterdam is already a major connectivity hub for financial services, hosting data infrastructure linked to liquidity providers, exchanges, and trading venues across Europe.

Its inclusion in the MetaTrader 5 hosting network is expected to give brokers more flexibility when designing high-availability systems, especially those serving multi-region client bases.

Broader Infrastructure Expansion by MetaQuotes

The Amsterdam launch is part of a wider infrastructure expansion by MetaQuotes. The company has continued investing in global hosting capacity, with existing server locations across key financial centers including London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo.

At the Finance Magnates London Summit 2025, the company noted that it had committed significant investment into server infrastructure to support growing platform demand.

Alongside infrastructure upgrades, MetaQuotes has also expanded its product ecosystem, including updates to its liquidity bridge pricing model and the rollout of a financial information portal aimed at traders and developers.
