Reasons for Field Survey
Leveraging its strengths in tourism and international trade, Thailand's foreign exchange market has steadily grown, becoming a vital component of Southeast Asia's financial landscape and attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, a field research team conducted a field visit to Bangkok, Thailand.
Field Survey Process
This time, the field research team visited BT Markets as planned. Its publicly listed office address is Rm 11/12 8th Flr. Building B, The Cube, Ramkamhaeng 89/2 Alley Khwaeng Hua Mak, Bangkok, Thailand 10240.
The field research team traveled to the aforementioned address and successfully arrived at the alleged “”Cube“” building, Building B, capturing panoramic photos of the building. On-site observation revealed no dedicated corporate campus facilities at the address. “”Corporate campus and street environment“” were recorded as “”non-existent“” based on the actual scene. Further verification revealed that the building is actually an apartment building, not an office building.
The surveyors attempted to enter the building and found the entrance to the first floor closed, preventing them from accessing the lobby or the upper floors. External observation and inquiries from nearby personnel revealed no signs or logos indicating “”BT Markets“” outside the building or at the entrance, nor any other information related to “”office space.“”
Unable to enter the building, the surveyors were unable to confirm the alleged location of rooms 11/12 on the 8th floor, nor were they able to enter the so-called “”company interior.“” Due to the building's status as an apartment, office-related information such as the “”company's internal office environment,“” the number of rooms, and the number of workstations could not be verified. The “”No Entry“” sign was actually due to the building not being used for office purposes and the entrance being closed. Furthermore, the address was confirmed to be not a shared office.
Thus, the survey confirmed that the brokerage firm BT Markets did not exist at the aforementioned address.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the BT Markets as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
