Reason for this visit

Cyprus purchased Greek national debt non-prudently in 2012. When the Greek national debt management defaulted, the Cyprus banking system suffered heavy losses, exceeding 30% of Cyprus’s GDP, and the country’s domestic debt crisis arose. In response to the crisis, the Cypriot government introduced a terrible solution that was opposed by all people, aggravating the crisis. At the same time, some people in Cyprus discovered that various forex whose prices are in an upward cycle, independent of sovereign currencies, may be able to cope with this crisis, so some funds poured into the small forex market in an attempt to avoid risks and protect themselves. Gradually, Cyprus has become an active country for forex transactions. In order to help investors learn more about the current status of the forex exchanges in Cyprus, the survey team is going to Cyprus for site visits.

Office Building

This time the survey team visited the dealer IQ Option in Limassol, the second largest city in Cyprus, with specific address at Yiannis Nicolaides Business Center, Agiou Athanasiou Avenue 33, 4102, Agios Athanasios, Limassol.   

On-site visit

The surveyors followed the address on the regulatory information to a modern office building. IQ Option's office is conveniently located on the east side of Limassol, Cyprus, a short distance from Exit 25 of the bypass highway. The exterior of the building is in a striking red color with an unusual shape. 

The surveyors contacted IQ Option's marketing department through the phone number posted on the glass door on the 1st floor. However, the staff declined the request to enter the company for a visit.

On the elevator door of the building, the surveyors found a notice posted by IQ Option, which stated that the elevator was out of order.

At various places in the building, the surveyors found the logo of the dealer IQ Option, and they also contacted the trader by phone. Unfortunately, the surveyors were unable to gain access to IQ Option's interior. However, what was certain was that the dealer's office did exist.

Conclusion

The physical address of IQ Option, a licensed dealer in Cyprus, was the same as the regulatory address. According to the on-site survey, the dealer's office premise was real and conveniently located. Investors can make their choice after comprehensive consideration.
