Introduction of VRB

General Information

Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank (VRB) was opened on 19/11/2006, resulting from the economic co-operation of the two governments and Central Banks. VRB is a joint venture between the two leading banks in Vietnam and Russia, Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), accounts for 50% and Bank for Foreign Trade of Russia (VTB) with 50% of chartered capital.

Main Business Activities

- VRB provides consultancy and information about investment possibilities.

- VRB arranges investment capital, directly give loans or co-finance projects.

- VRB provides guarantee services, such as guarantee for payment, bid, contract fulfilments.

- VRB makes direct investments through provision of capital by shares in the two countries firms; indirect investments through activities on inter-bank markets or financial markets.

VRBs retail banking services including Deposit (Terms Deposit with Interest Paid at Maturity, Term Deposit with Interest Paid Periodically, Term Deposit with Interest paid at Beginning of Term, Ladder Term Deposit , Increasing Deposit , Forex currency trading, Loan(Car Loan, House Loan, unsecured overdraft, Value paper mortgage loan, loan finance proving, etc), Cards (VRB Visa Credit Card, VRB Visa Debit Card, Local Debit Card (ATM Card), as well as Payment Services (Domestic Remittance, International Remittance), as well as Digital Banking (VRB i-IB).
