Immediately after registering, I was contacted on WhatsApp by "Merry" — no discernible real identity behind the account. When I asked 15 direct questions about ownership and company structure, the response was: "The questions you asked are not the kind of questions that any broker would give you completely honest answers to. However, if your concern is about trust, we can arrange a transparent meeting and have an open, friendly discussion with each other." A broker openly refusing to answer basic ownership questions. I deposited $250 to test the platform. Over two days of calm-market trading, no news events, more than 30% of my closing orders were rejected — not opening orders, closing orders. You can enter freely. Getting out is a different story. When I requested full withdrawal: "Dear Trader, due to your transactions which are against general trading rules and according to international trading rules, we are unable to provide services to you and you will only be allowed to withdraw the origin amount of your funds. Obviously, if you change your trading method, we will continue cooperating with you." No trade IDs, no specifics. The next day, all profits were gone plus an unexplained $37.92 deducted from my own deposit. When pressed, they escalated to "Arbitrage" and "High-Frequency Trading" accusations: "Dear Diogo, Due to the identified account violations, you are only permitted to withdraw the original amount of funds you deposited. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we are also willing to refund the total commission amount spent on your account." Facts that expose this as fabricated: across all 142 trades, average trade duration was 2 minutes. Not one trade was held under 1 minute. No arbitrage, no HFT — only a broker rejecting closes, keeping profits, and inventing a violation after the fact. Current balance: $211 against a $250 deposit. On top of confiscating 100% of profits, part of my own principal was withheld with no itemized explanation. STP Trading Ltd is registered in Saint Lucia — no regulator oversight.
