As one of the world‘s top forex trading hubs, coupled with the FCA’s rigorous supervision, the UK continues to attract investors and institutions, boosting market liquidity and growth. Many forex brokers pride themselves on securing FCA authorization and seek to expand operations in this jurisdiction. To help investors and professionals better understand UK forex brokers, WikiFX survey team conducted on-site visits across the country, verifying operational authenticity and compliance.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to London in the UK to visit forex broker YCM Invest as planned according to its regulatory address that Mappin House, Oxford Circus, London W1W 8HF.

A seasoned and professional inspection team, committed to safeguarding investor interests, conducted a meticulously planned on-site verification of the forex broker YCM Invest at Mappin House in London, UK.

Mappin House is located in the heart of Londons Oxford Street, adjacent to Oxford Circus Underground Station, within a 5-minute walking distance. The surrounding area is a bustling commercial district. The building features a classic British architectural style, with the entrance marked by the address “4 Winsley Street” on the eastern side of the Fitzrovia neighborhood. From the exterior, the building appears well-maintained, with a glass-walled entrance offering a view of the interior lobby. Despite its prominent appearance, no signage or logo related to YCM Invest was found outside.

The inspection team successfully entered the buildings lobby. The interior design is modern, highlighted by a blue neon ceiling and a gold-trimmed front desk, with ample lighting, a waiting area, and a large TV screen. However, upon checking the lobby directory (floor listing), no mention of YCM Invest was found. The directory only listed other tenant information, and the front desk staff did not mention the company. Notably, the building was confirmed to be a shared office space (Shared Office), potentially housing multiple businesses, but YCM Invest showed no visible presence in the public areas.

Although access to the lobby was possible, the team could not proceed further to specific floors or offices. According to on-site signage, elevators and staircases were located behind the reception area, but unauthorized entry into the office spaces was not permitted.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker does not maintain a physical presence at the above address.

Conclusion

The survey team went to London in the UK to visit forex broker YCM Invest as scheduled but did not find the company at its regulatory address. This indicates that the broker may just register with the address without a physical office. Accordingly, investors should be meticulous in selecting the broker.
