Reasons for Field Survey

Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.

Field Survey Process

The inspection targeted the brokerage Kapalıçarşı, whose publicly registered office address is Migros alışveriş merkezi G.K.4 Beylikdüzü/İSTANBUL (Migros Shopping Center G.K.4, Beykoz District, Istanbul, Turkey). The inspection team rigorously located and verified the address.

Upon arrival, the inspectors first confirmed the correctness of the address information and successfully located the location, which was a typical mixed-use commercial complex in the area. The inspectors successfully captured panoramic views of the shopping center. However, the site lacked a corporate campus or the business atmosphere of a concentrated office complex, completely inconsistent with the designation of a brokerage office.

The inspectors then entered the shopping center unimpeded. The interior contained only signage indicating commercial establishments such as shops and restaurants. No office-related zoning was observed, nor was there any signage indicating Kapalıçarşı's presence. The surveyors conducted a comprehensive search of the shopping center's G and 4 floors but could not find any trace of Kapalıçarşı. The area was entirely occupied by commercial shops and had no connection to the offices of a financial broker.

The surveyors attempted to inquire with the mall's property management and merchants about whether Kapalıçarşı was operating there. They were told that Migros Shopping Center was designed solely for commercial purposes and had never accommodated office-type businesses, nor had a registered tenant named Kapalıçarşı. Furthermore, the surveyors found no Kapalıçarşı logo anywhere inside or outside the shopping center.

Verification confirmed that while the address clearly indicated a commercial location, it lacked any office functions and no trace of the target company. This lacked any core evidence proving Kapalıçarşı's actual operations.

Therefore, the survey confirmed that Kapalıçarşı, a broker, did not exist at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Kapalıçarşı as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
