Reasons for Field Survey
The Japanese foreign exchange market is one of the world's most important forex trading markets, boasting a long history, a mature financial system, and strict regulatory mechanisms. It holds a crucial position in the global forex market. With numerous participants and high trading activity, it is subject to strict oversight by regulatory agencies such as the Financial Services Agency of Japan, ensuring the market's standardized operation. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operations of forex dealers in the region, the field research team conducted an on-site visit to Japan.
Field Survey Process
This year's field research team traveled to Japan as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker i SECURITIES. Publicly available information lists its office address as 1-6-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Dedicated to ensuring stringent investor safety, the professional and experienced field research team followed a meticulously planned trip to the core business district of Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Based on the publicly available address, they conducted an on-site visit to i SECURITIES. The field research team first located the Roppongi area in Minato-ku, Tokyo, targeting a landmark office building within the area to conduct an on-site verification of i SECURITIES's claimed location.
The field research team successfully arrived at the target building, a prominent and luxurious office building in the Roppongi business district. Its glass curtain wall design with metallic accents creates a modern and elegant atmosphere, embodying a high-end business aesthetic. Surrounded by international investment bank headquarters, five-star hotels, and high-end shopping malls, the building boasts clean, orderly streets, a vibrant landscape, and a strong international character, perfectly matching the description of a luxurious environment. The surveyors conducted a comprehensive exterior inspection of the building. While no i SECURITIES logos or signs were found on the facade, the building's distinctive appearance as a high-end office building allowed them to capture panoramic photos, fully documenting its overall appearance and surroundings.
The surveyors then attempted to enter the building's first-floor lobby. A professional security team, dressed in standard attire and following rigorous procedures, manned the entrance 24 hours a day. The surveyors explained their intention to visit i SECURITIES and, after a simple identity verification (no additional registration required), were granted access. The lobby's interior was luxuriously decorated, featuring imported marble floors, wood and metal walls, and a crystal chandelier overhead. The spacious and airy space, complete with a high-end lounge area and concierge desk, perfectly befitted its high-end office building status. A large electronic sign indicating the floor locations is prominently located in the lobby, categorizing the names of the companies on each floor. After careful inspection, the surveyors found i SECURITIES's name clearly displayed, a perfect match with the publicly available address, directly verifying the address's consistency.
To further confirm the specific location of the office area, the surveyors requested security personnel to proceed to the floor where i SECURITIES was located. However, the building's security management is extremely strict. The security personnel explained that all office floors require card access, and that outside visitors must confirm an appointment in advance with the company's contact person. Only with a visitor's pass issued by the company can they enter the elevator and proceed to their desired floor. Since the survey team had not yet made an appointment with i SECURITIES, the security personnel explicitly stated that they could not grant access to the office floors. Ultimately, the surveyors were unable to reach the specific floor and confirm the specific room location of the company's office area. During their stay in the lobby, the surveyors further observed the building's operational details: each floor entrance had an independent access control system, and no shared or co-working signs or promotional materials were found in the lobby. Combined with the distinct i SECURITIES label on the sign, this clearly ruled out the possibility of a shared office. Furthermore, due to their inability to access the office floors, the surveyors were unable to photograph the company's reception desk or logo. However, given the building's overall luxurious positioning, the lobby's high-end decor, and the industry's typical office environment specifications for financial institutions, the internal office environment would likely qualify as luxurious. Furthermore, the surveyors attempted to obtain additional information about i SECURITIES from the lobby information desk, but the staff, citing corporate privacy concerns, declined to provide additional information.
Thus, the survey confirmed that the brokerage firm, i SECURITIES, existed at the publicly listed address, which matched the address on the survey form.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited i SECURITIES as planned and observed the broker's company name and logo displayed prominently at the publicly shown business address, indicating the physical presence of the broker's business. Investors are advised to take all factors into consideration before making a decision.
