Istanbul, Türkiye

Reasons for Field Survey
Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.
Field Survey Process
This inspection targeted the brokerage firm TradeMaster, whose publicly registered office address is Levent Mahallesi, Meltem Sokak İş Kuleleri Kule 2 Kat:13 No:10/14 34330 Beşiktaş - İSTANBUL (Office Tower 2, 13th Floor, No. 10/14, Meltem Street, Levent Neighborhood, Beşiktaş District, Istanbul, Turkey, 34330). The inspection team rigorously tracked this address for precise location verification.
Upon arrival, the inspection team first confirmed that the address matched the publicly available information. They successfully located the marked Office Tower 2 and captured a panoramic photo of the building. However, they discovered that the building was undergoing extensive renovations: construction fencing was evident on the exterior and entrance areas, and construction noise could be heard from within. Only construction workers were present on the premises, with no signs of any office activity. The building was completely devoid of the necessary basic requirements for a normal office space.
When attempting to enter the building lobby, the surveyors were stopped by construction workers and clearly informed that non-construction personnel were prohibited from entering during the building renovation. Therefore, they were unable to verify the lobby signage, let alone find any TradeMaster labeling.
Subsequently, the surveyors inquired with the on-site construction workers whether Room 10/14 on the 13th floor of the building was the TradeMaster office. The workers assured them that no office business had occupied that floor or the entire building since construction began, only renovations were underway, and they had never heard of the company. Furthermore, the surveyors found no TradeMaster logos on the building's exterior walls, construction fencing, or surrounding areas, and were unable to capture any images of the reception or office areas. Furthermore, upon verification, although the address matched the street number, the building was not used for office purposes due to the construction, lacking any valid evidence to prove the company's existence.
Thus, the survey confirmed that the trader TradeMaster did not exist at the aforementioned address.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the TradeMaster as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
