Purpose
The Singapore foreign exchange market is an emerging forex market that developed in the 1970s alongside the rise of the Asian dollar market. As one of the world's major forex trading hubs, it attracts numerous international financial institutions and investors due to its strategic geographical location, robust financial infrastructure, and open policy environment. To help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of forex brokers in this region, an on-site inspection team conducted field visits in Singapore.
Process
The on-site inspection team visited the forex broker HGNH in Singapore as planned. According to public information, its office address is 4 Shenton Way, #18 - 04 SGX Centre 2, Singapore 068807.
A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, driven by a sense of mission to rigorously safeguard investors' interests, traveled to Singapore according to a well-planned schedule. Based on the aforementioned information, they conducted an on-site visit to the dealer HGNH.
The field investigator proceeded to the target area based on the address information to conduct an on-site verification of the dealer HGNH claimed to be located at 4 Shenton Way, #18 - 04 SGX Centre 2, Singapore 068807.
The inspector successfully arrived at the SGX Centre 2 building, located in the most central area of Singapore, surrounded by a bustling environment and a strong commercial atmosphere. The building is a modern office tower with a grand and spectacular exterior. However, no signage or relevant information related to HGNH company was found on the exterior of the building.
The surveyor entered the building lobby and explained their purpose to the security personnel. After a brief communication, they obtained permission to enter the building.
After carefully checking the directory in the building lobby, no information about HGNH company was found. Unable to confirm the specific floor location, the field investigator failed to reach the target floor, the 18th floor. Consequently, it was impossible to determine whether HGNH's office area had clear signage or security measures, let alone gain access to the interior. Additionally, it was not possible to photograph the reception desk or its logo, and the office location was not a shared workspace.
Since access to the company's interior was not possible, an observation of the internal office environment could not be conducted. Overall, the actual impression is that although the building is located in a prime location, the company's information was not seen on the directory board.
Therefore, after on-site verification, it was confirmed that the dealer HGNH does not exist at the above address.
Conclusion
The on-site investigator visited the forex broker HGNH in Singapore as planned. At the publicly displayed business address, no information such as the company name of the broker was found, indicating that the broker does not have a genuine business premises. Investors are advised to make their choices after comprehensive consideration.
