Reason for this visit

Malaysia boasts a relatively developed forex market, where the forex brokers provide a high level of services. The local forex industry featuring a high concentration is experiencing a revolution under the pressure from financial technology. As the major regulator of forex broker in the country, the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has been vigorously enhancing risk management and regulations for customer protection in recent years, requiring brokers to increase their transparency, and strengthening investors education. Recently, plenty of investors have expressed their hope to know more details about the forex brokers in Malaysia. In order to help investors or practitioners to have a more comprehensive understanding of the country's forex brokers, WikiFX survey team decides to go to Malaysia for on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Malaysia to visit forex broker OTFX as planned according to its regulatory address that Sales Gallery / Show Room built on Lot126399, Seksyen 3 held under PN 111756, Lot126 Mukim of Ulu Kelang, District of Gombak, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.

On October 11, 2023, the investigators came to District of Gombak in Selangor, Malaysia, and located a distinctive, grand one-story office building in a prosperous area. The building boasts a fabulous location adjacent to multiple luxurious high-rise residential buildings in a premium residential community, where rows of apartments appear dignified and magnificent under the blue sky with white clouds.

As a lighthouse leading the employees to be at the height of their career, the logo of OTFX could be almost seen at every corner from the outer edge of the roof to the entrance of the building.

The security guards at the entrance welcomed the survey personnel to the building with enthusiasm following confirming the teams identity and purpose.

After accessing the building, the team spotted a super grand reception area beyond imagination. In the lounge area, a giant banner of company vision and mission was sparking in the light.

Behind the reception desk, there was another large shining logo of OTFX. And reception area was closely adjacent to pantry.

And then the staff working for OTFX showed the survey team around their recreational space, conference rooms, and busy trading rooms, where all tasks were carried out in an orderly manner.

There were five staff members devoting themselves to transaction seriously and orderly in the trading room. They watched the screen firmly, while their fingers taped on the keyboard fast. OTFX provides the most convenient working condition for the staff by utilizing professional monitors and computers in line with industry standard.

OTFX enjoys a well-equipped, bright, clean and tidy office with reasonable layout and elegant, premium interior, demonstrating its strength and professional.

Through an on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the company has a physical presence at the place. And the elegant office environment and professional operations and employees indicate that the company operates business normally.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Malaysia to visit forex broker OTFX as scheduled, and had access to its working place in the building. This suggests that the broker has a physical business office with an excellent working environment at its regulatory address. Meanwhile, investors are advised to choose the broker based on their own decision.
