Chang Muaeng Alley, Huai Kwang, Bangkok, Thailand
Reasons for Field Survey
Leveraging its strengths in tourism and international trade, Thailand's foreign exchange market has steadily grown, becoming a vital component of Southeast Asia's financial landscape and attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, a field research team conducted a field visit to Bangkok, Thailand.
Field Survey Process
This time, the field survey team visited ALPFOREX as planned. Its publicly listed office address is 135/22 Amornphan 205 Tower 2, Flr. 9, Nathong Alley, Ratchadaphisek RD, Din Daeng, Bangkok, 10400 (Thailand).
The field survey team visited the aforementioned address and confirmed that it is located in a prosperous area with a large Chinese population in Thailand. They arrived at Amornphan 205 Tower 2 without incident. Due to the lack of a dedicated corporate campus, the “”corporate campus and street environment“” were recorded as “”non-existent“” based on the actual scene. The field survey team successfully captured a panoramic view of the building, confirming that it is an office building.
The surveyors had unimpeded access to the building lobby and found a sign with the company's information. However, upon inspection, no name or office information related to “”ALPFOREX“” was found, nor was the company's logo visible (either inside or outside).
The surveyors followed the directions to the 9th floor, successfully reaching the designated floor and confirming their location. However, after a thorough inspection of the floor, they found no sign or office signage with “”ALPFOREX,“” nor any office unit with the corresponding address.
Because they could not locate the company's actual office space, the surveyors were unable to enter the so-called “”company interior“” or photograph the reception desk bearing the company logo. The “”No Entry“” label for “”Company Internal Office Environment“” actually indicated that there was no ALPFOREX office space. Information such as the number of rooms and workstations could not be verified, and the address was confirmed to be not a shared office.
Thus, the survey confirmed that the trader ALPFOREX did not exist at the aforementioned address and that the address information on the survey form was inconsistent.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the ALPFOREX as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
