A Visit to TeraFX in UK -- Finding No Office
Danger United Kingdom

Reason for this visit

According to the Reuters, the United Kingdom has expanded its leading position in the field of global FX trading in the years since it voted to leave the European Union. In addition, the British retail foreign exchange market has one of the world's three most stringent regulatory bodies, that is the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Many FX dealers take obtaining FCA regulation for pride, and also hope to enter the country to develop market business. To help investors or practitioners have a more comprehensive understanding of the dealers in that country, the survey team is going to UK for site visits.

On-site visit

This time the survey team went to London, UK to visit the foreign exchange dealer TeraFX as planned. The survey address is Office 7.01 One Canada Square Canary Wharf London E14 5AA UNITED KINGDOM.

The survey personnel came to the destination of the current survey according to the above address. It is located in London's prosperous business district, and the building is not far from Bank Street. There is a large shopping mall downstairs. The interior decoration and facilities of the building are excellent. There are many elevators, many entrances and exits, and there are signs and a consultation office next to each exit. Overall, the building is a fairly professional shared office building.

The security of the building, where the foreign exchange dealer is located, is particularly strict, and photos cannot be taken at will. For internal visits, an appointment is required and the visit should be accompanied by a security personnel throughout the process. The investigators could not find the logo or other information of the foreign exchange dealer TeraFX on the water sign in the lobby.

The security guard found the visit appointment records of the investigators in the visit reservation system. Soon, the staff of TeraFX also came to the lobby to receive the investigators and suggested going upstairs to visit together. According to the employees, the foreign exchange dealer TeraFX rented an office here in July 2021.

The staff of TeraFX led the investigators to their offices. The entire office is a single room, where three employees are working, and the office is fully equipped. Unfortunately, the investigators did not find TeraFX's company LOGO or other information about the company in the office, so it was impossible to prove that this office was owned by the foreign exchange dealer TeraFX.

Conclusion

The investigators went to London, UK to visit the foreign exchange dealer TeraFX as planned, but did not find the dealer's logo or other information on the publicly displayed business address, and thus could not confirm that the dealer has a real business venue at the address. Please choose this dealer carefully.
