Reasons for Field Survey
The Japanese foreign exchange market is one of the world's most important forex trading markets, boasting a long history, a mature financial system, and strict regulatory mechanisms. It holds a crucial position in the global forex market. With numerous participants and high trading activity, it is subject to strict oversight by regulatory agencies such as the Financial Services Agency of Japan, ensuring the market's standardized operation. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operations of forex dealers in the region, the field research team conducted an on-site visit to Japan.
Field Survey Process
This issue's field research team traveled to Japan as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker SAXO. Publicly available information indicates its office address is 6th Floor, Izumi Gaden Ward, 1-6-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Dedicated to ensuring stringent investor safety, the professional and experienced field research team carefully planned their visit to Roppongi, Tokyo's core business district. Based on the publicly available address, they conducted an on-site visit to SAXO. Based on the address information, the field research team first located SAXO in the Roppongi area of Minato-ku, Tokyo, and conducted an on-site verification of the broker's location, which they claimed was located at 6th Floor, Izumi Gaden Ward, 1-6-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
The survey team successfully arrived at their target building, Izumi Garden Tower 3. Located in the heart of Tokyo's high-end Roppongi business district, it stands as a landmark luxury office building in the area, boasting a simple, elegant facade and comprehensive amenities. Surrounded by numerous international corporate headquarters, high-end hotels, and luxury shopping malls, the surrounding streets are neatly organized, creating a high-end business environment with a strong, international atmosphere. While observing the building's exterior, the survey team found no SAXO-related signs or logos. However, due to the building's distinctive, high-end commercial architecture, the survey team successfully captured a panoramic view of the building, clearly capturing its overall appearance.
The survey team then entered the building's first-floor lobby, which was spacious and airy, with a minimalist and luxurious décor. The floor was clad in polished marble, and the walls were accentuated with metallic accents, highlighting its high-end office design. Dedicated security personnel, dressed appropriately and providing professional service, were stationed at the entrance. The surveyors informed the security personnel that they wanted to visit SAXO on the 6th floor. After friendly communication, they were granted access to the lobby without any additional registration procedures. In the central lobby area, the surveyors found a clear and eye-catching signage displaying the floor directions. This sign, a combination of electronic and physical signage, detailed the names of the companies and corresponding room numbers on each floor. After careful verification, they confirmed that the SAXO name was clearly marked on the 6th floor, which matched the publicly available address, further verifying the correctness of the address.
To obtain more detailed information about the office space, the surveyors requested a visit to the 6th floor to inspect the SAXO office area. However, security at the building is extremely strict. The security personnel stated that non-resident company visitors must confirm their identity and purpose of visit with the company's contact person in advance, and that access to the office floors is not permitted without an appointment. Because the survey team had not made an appointment with SAXO in advance, they were ultimately denied permission to visit the 6th floor, unable to reach the specific floor, confirm the location of the office area, or enter the company. During their stay in the lobby, the surveyors further observed the building's overall operations. They discovered that each floor entrance had a dedicated access control system and did not see any signs or promotional information related to shared office or co-working. Combined with the separate floor information marked with SAXO on the signage, this rule out the possibility of it being a shared office. Furthermore, due to their inability to access the office floors, the surveyors were unable to photograph the SAXO reception desk or its logo. However, given the building's overall luxurious positioning, the signage indicating separate office floors, and the general industry perception of SAXO's operational standards, the internal office environment should meet this luxury positioning.
Thus, the survey confirmed that the trading company SAXO existed at the aforementioned address, and that the publicly available address matched the address on the survey form.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited Saxo as planned and observed the broker's company name and logo displayed prominently at the publicly shown business address, indicating the physical presence of the broker's business. Investors are advised to take all factors into consideration before making a decision.
