Reasons for Field Survey
Leveraging its strengths in tourism and international trade, Thailand's foreign exchange market has steadily grown, becoming a vital component of Southeast Asia's financial landscape and attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, a field research team conducted a field visit to Bangkok, Thailand.
Field Survey Process
This time, the on-site inspection team traveled to Thailand to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker TRACXUS. Publicly available information lists its office address as 1656/148, The Centric Ratchayothin, 14th Flr. Phaholyothin Rd., Chantharakasem Subdistrict, Chatuchak District, 10900, Thailand.
Upholding the responsibility of rigorously verifying the broker's business location, the professional inspection team conducted an on-site inspection of TRACXUS, based on the previously disclosed address, in accordance with established plans.
The inspection team then traveled to Chatuchak District, Bangkok, Thailand, and conducted an on-site inspection of TRACXUS, which claimed to be located at 1656/148, The Centric Ratchayothin, 14th Flr. Phaholyothin Rd., Chantharakasem Subdistrict, Chatuchak District, 10900, Thailand. Upon arrival, the surveyors confirmed the target building to be The Centric Ratchayothin and successfully captured panoramic photos of the building. However, no trace of a TRACXUS-related corporate campus was found, nor was the company's logo visible on the exterior.
Subsequently, the surveyors entered the building's lobby and discovered that while there was a front desk, no staff were present, making it impossible to inquire about TRACXUS's location through the front desk. The surveyors also carefully examined company signs throughout the lobby, verifying each company's name and corresponding floor. They found no record of TRACXUS, nor any guidance to the company's 14th-floor office.
Furthermore, the building has strict access control, requiring verification through the access control system to access the office floors. Without assistance from the front desk and no reservation information regarding TRACXUS, the surveyors were unable to obtain access, making it impossible to reach the 14th floor, confirm the alleged office location, and, consequently, enter the nonexistent company. The TRACXUS logo was absent from the building. The on-site inspection team was unable to determine whether it was a shared office, nor could they capture a photo of the company's front desk or logo. Due to a lack of supporting information, the company's internal office environment, number of rooms, and number of workstations could not be verified.
Based on on-site verification, while the address TRACXUS claimed corresponded to a real office building, multiple verification efforts, including signage, lack of front desk assistance, and restricted access, revealed no trace of the company's operations, making its presence unconfirmed.
Thus, the on-site inspection confirmed that TRACXUS did not exist at the aforementioned address, concluding that the brokerage firm was a fabricated entity with no real office or business location.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the TRACXUS as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
