Reasons for Field Survey
The Japanese foreign exchange market is one of the world's most important forex trading markets, boasting a long history, a mature financial system, and strict regulatory mechanisms. It holds a crucial position in the global forex market. With numerous participants and high trading activity, it is subject to strict oversight by regulatory agencies such as the Financial Services Agency of Japan, ensuring the market's standardized operation. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operations of forex dealers in the region, the field research team conducted an on-site visit to Japan.
Field Survey Process
This issue's field inspection team traveled to Tokyo as planned to conduct an on-site inspection of brokerage firm MITO. Publicly available information lists its office address as 7F, Nihonbashi Maruzen Tokyu Building, 2-3-10 Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 103-0027.
With a sense of responsibility to rigorously verify the integrity of investors, the professional and experienced field inspection team traveled to Tokyo according to a carefully crafted plan. They conducted an on-site inspection of brokerage firm MITO based on the aforementioned address.
Based on the address information, the field inspection team traveled to the Nihonbashi area of Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and conducted an on-site inspection of brokerage firm MITO Mito Securities, which claimed to be located at 7F, Nihonbashi Maruzen Tokyu Building, 2-3-10 Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 103-0027.
The field inspection team successfully arrived at the Nihonbashi Maruzen Tokyu Building, where the company campus and surrounding streets were located. From the building's exterior, the surveyors successfully captured a panoramic view but found no signage related to MITO.
The surveyors were unable to enter the building's lobby, and the MITO company name was not displayed on the signage inside the building. Furthermore, no MITO logo was found inside or outside the building.
Although the surveyors arrived at the building and the relevant floors, a thorough inspection revealed no information related to MITO. After questioning staff, they learned that the company did not exist, preventing them from entering the alleged MITO premises. The overall appearance of the building indicated that the address was not a shared office, and no photographs of the MITO front desk could be seen from the exterior or any other observable angle.
Thus, the survey confirmed that the trading company MITO does not exist at the aforementioned address.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the Forex broker MITO as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
