Purpose
The Singapore foreign exchange market is an emerging forex market that developed in the 1970s alongside the rise of the Asian dollar market. As the world's fourth-largest forex trading hub, it has attracted numerous international financial institutions and forex brokers to establish operations there, thanks to its advantageous geographical location, stable political environment, and robust financial regulatory framework. To help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of forex brokers in this region, an on-site inspection team conducted field visits in Singapore.
Process
The on-site inspection team proceeded to Singapore as scheduled to visit the forex broker StarX Capital Markets. According to publicly available information, its office address is 1 Temasek Avenue #30-01B, Millenia Tower, Singapore.
A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, driven by a sense of mission to rigorously safeguard investors' interests, traveled to Singapore following a well-planned schedule. Based on the aforementioned information, they conducted an on-site visit to the dealer StarX Capital Markets.
The field investigator proceeded to Millenia Tower based on the address information to conduct an on-site verification of the dealer claiming to be located at 1 Temasek Avenue #30-01B, Millenia Tower, Singapore StarX Capital Markets.
The inspection personnel successfully arrived at Millenia Tower, which is located in a bustling area of Singapore with a vibrant surrounding environment and a strong commercial atmosphere. Although no company logo was directly visible on the exterior of the building, the company's directory was found inside.
The survey personnel entered the building lobby and stated their purpose to the security guard. After registration, they obtained entry permission.
Upon arriving at the target floor (30th floor), the field surveyor noticed that the office area of StarX Capital Markets had clear signage. However, due to reasons such as lack of prior appointment, the surveyor was unable to enter the interior. Additionally, they could not photograph the reception desk or its logo. This office is not a shared workspace.
The field investigator was unable to observe the internal office environment of the company due to being denied entry. Overall, the investigator managed to photograph the water signage and reached the floor, but access to the company located at 30-01 was not possible.
Therefore, after on-site verification, it is confirmed that the dealer StarX Capital Markets exists at the aforementioned address.
