Reason for this visit

The international forex market in Hong Kong has been developing since the 1970s. The forex market has become more and more active, developing into an international forex market. Hong Kong forex market is an invisible market without a fixed trading venue. Traders conduct forex transactions through various modern communication facilities and computer networks. Hong Kongs geographical location and time zone conditions are similar to those of Singapore, making it very convenient to trade with other international forex markets. Participants in Hong Kong forex market are mainly commercial banks and financial companies. There are three types of forex brokers in this market: local brokers, whose business is limited to Hong Kong; international brokers who have expanded their business to the Hong Kong forex market since the 1970s; international brokers that grow locally and has expanded their business to forex markets abroad. In an attempt to help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of current status of forex brokers in Hong Kong, WikiFX survey team determines to pay on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Hong Kong, China to visit forex broker SAISEN as planned according to its regulatory address that Two International Finance Centre, Harbour View Street, Central, Hong Kong.

On July 9, 2025, a seasoned and professional inspection team, committed to safeguarding investor interests, conducted a meticulously planned on-site verification of the broker SAISEN at 8 Finance Street in Central. Two International Finance Centre, a landmark skyscraper, is located in Hong Kongs core financial district.

As one of Hong Kong‘s most prestigious Grade A office towers, Two IFC is situated along the Central waterfront, boasting an exceptional location as a global hub for finance and commerce. Upon arrival, the investigators observed a bustling, high-traffic environment filled with financial professionals and business elites, reinforcing the building’s status as a key economic center. The tower‘s sleek, modern glass façade gleamed under sunlight, and the surrounding streets were clean and well-maintained. The inspection team first attempted to photograph the building’s exterior but found no visible signage or references to SAISEN.

To ensure a thorough investigation, the survey team proceeded inside the building, heading straight to the lobby for critical verification. However, their attempt to access the companys office space was immediately hindered—they could not enter the relevant floor or workspace.

In the public lobby area, the team carefully examined the tenant directory, meticulously checking all listed companies, but found no mention of SAISEN. They then scanned the lobby and elevator access areas for any corporate branding, yet again, no SAISEN-related logos or identifiers were present.

For further confirmation, the investigators approached the front desk for assistance. They clearly stated their purpose—to locate SAISEN—but after checking internal records, the front desk staff definitively confirmed that no company named SAISEN was currently registered or operating within the building.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker does not maintain a physical presence at the above address.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Hong Kong, China to visit forex broker SAISEN as scheduled but did not find the company at its regulatory address. It indicates that the broker does not have a physical office at the place. Accordingly, investors are advised to make a well-considered decision following much deliberation.
