Reasons for Field Survey

Hong Kong, being an international financial center, is home to one of the most significant forex markets globally. Characterized by high internationalization, active trading, and strict regulation, it holds a pivotal position in global forex trading. To assist investors in gaining a comprehensive and precise understanding of forex brokers in this region, the surveyors conducted field surveys in Hong Kong.

Field Survey Process

This round, the field survey team planned to visit the broker UNOCAL in Hong Kong. According to public information, its office is located in Room B, 5th Floor, Gaylord Commercial Building, 114-118 Lockhart Road, Hong Kong

Exhibiting an attitude of responsibility towards investors, the professional survey team carried out a field check on UNOCAL according to the above address.

Surveyors went to the Lockhart Road area in Hong Kong and arrived at the Gaylord Commercial Building. The building is relatively old with a typical company park and street environment. Corridors are narrow, only allowing two people to pass at a time, leading to a cramped space and a small elevator. From outside the building, surveyors were able to capture a clear panoramic image of the building, but couldn't identify any markers of UNOCAL.

Surveyors successfully entered the lobby of the building whose environment is in line with that of old commercial buildings. Upon checking the lobby directory, they found no indications of UNOCAL's company name, thus couldn't get a location guide for the company.

Taking the elevator to the 5th floor and checking carefully, the surveyors didn't find any information related to UNOCAL or any company logos. Therefore, the surveyors could not ascertain its exact location and consequently couldn't enter the company's premises or capture images of a front desk or logo. It was confirmed that this location isn't a shared office space, further validating that UNOCAL does not have a real operational presence here.

Therefore, after the survey, it was confirmed that the broker UNOCAL does not have a real operational location.

They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location.
