Purpose

The UAE foreign exchange market is an emerging internationalized forex trading market developed over the past two decades. Leveraging Dubai's geographical advantage as the Middle East financial hub, it has gathered a large number of forex trading service providers catering to investors from the Gulf region and globally. The industry regulatory system has been gradually improved, and market activity has been rising year by year. To help investors better understand the true operating conditions of forex brokers in the region, we traveled to the UAE for an on-site inspection.

Process

This issue's site inspection team went to the UAE as planned to conduct an on-site visit to forex broker FxSeo, and according to public information, its office address is Business Center 1, M Floor, The Maydan Hotel, Nad AI Sheba, Dubai UAE.

A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly vet for investors, went to the United Arab Emirates according to a well-planned itinerary. We conducted a field verification of the broker FxSeo, which claims to be located at Business Center 1, M Floor, The Maydan Hotel, Nad AI Sheba, Dubai UAE.

After arriving smoothly at the target building, we found that the location is inside a luxury entertainment complex in a non-central area of Dubai. The entire building is a luxury hotel, not a commercial office building open for leasing. The surrounding area has no supporting facilities of a conventional business office park, nor any signage indicating clustered office enterprises. Outside the building, we found no signage related to FxSeo or any associated information at all, and we successfully captured the panoramic view of the building.

We entered the building's lobby, stated our purpose to the on-site staff, completed the relevant communication, and successfully obtained permission to enter the lobby. In the public areas of the lobby, we carefully checked all public information such as floor directories and corporate name plates, and found no name marking of FxSeo at all. Inside the building, there was no LOGO display belonging to this broker.

We attempted to go to the marked M Floor to confirm the specific location, but the on-site security personnel told us that visitors who are not hotel guests and have no prior appointment cannot go to the designated floor. In the end, we could not reach the target floor to confirm the specific location of the broker, nor could we enter the so-called office area of FxSeo. Throughout the process, we found no reception desk of this broker, and naturally could not take photos of the reception desk or the corresponding LOGO. The venue is not a shared office either.

Since we were unable to enter the corresponding area, we had no way to observe the internal environment of the broker, and it does not match its publicly claimed positioning of setting up an office at this address.

Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it is confirmed that the broker FxSeo does not exist at the publicly stated address above.

Conclusion

Field inspectors visited the UAE as planned to conduct an on-site inspection of forex broker FxSeo. At its publicly displayed business address, the broker's company name or other identifying information could not be found. The address is actually a luxury hotel rather than an office building, and no genuine business premises of the broker exist at all. Investors should make their decision after comprehensive consideration.
