Reasons for Field Survey
The Japanese foreign exchange market is one of the world's most important forex trading markets, boasting a long history, a mature financial system, and strict regulatory mechanisms. It holds a crucial position in the global forex market. With numerous participants and high trading activity, it is subject to strict oversight by regulatory agencies such as the Financial Services Agency of Japan, ensuring the market's standardized operation. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operations of forex dealers in the region, the field research team conducted an on-site visit to Japan.
Field Survey Process
This time, the inspection team traveled to Tokyo as planned to visit the brokerage firm BNP Paribas. Publicly available information lists its office address as GranTokyo North Tower, 1-9-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-6741, Japan.
Based on this address, the professional inspection team, committed to fulfilling their responsibility to investors, conducted an on-site inspection of BNP Paribas.
The inspection team traveled to the Marunouchi area of Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, and arrived at GranTokyo North Tower. Located in Tokyo's core financial district, the building boasts a luxurious corporate campus and streetscape, surrounded by numerous multinational financial institutions and high-end commercial facilities, creating a vibrant business atmosphere. While the inspection team was able to capture a clear panoramic view of the building from the outside, they could not find any BNP Paribas signage.
The inspection team attempted to enter the building lobby but was unsuccessful. Therefore, they were unable to verify the company's name on the lobby sign or identify any related logos within the building.
Without access to the building, the inspection team was unable to reach specific floors or confirm locations, let alone enter the company to photograph the reception desk and its logo. After verification, it was determined that the location was not a shared office, confirming that BNP Paribas did not actually operate there.
Thus, the inspection confirmed that BNP Paribas did not have a physical business location.
