Reasons for Field Survey
Leveraging its strengths in tourism and international trade, Thailand's foreign exchange market has steadily grown, becoming a vital component of Southeast Asia's financial landscape and attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, a field research team conducted a field visit to Bangkok, Thailand.
Field Survey Process
This inspection targeted Nomura, a brokerage firm. Its publicly registered office address is 25 Bangkok Insurance Building, 15th-17th Floor, South Sathorn Road, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120. The inspection team rigorously located and verified the address.
Upon arrival, the inspectors first confirmed the correct address information. Located in Bangkok's core financial district, the area boasts a bustling streetscape and the sophisticated atmosphere of an international financial center. The inspectors successfully captured panoramic views of the building, which boasts a modern and elegant exterior, meeting the standards of an international financial institution.
The inspectors then had unobstructed access to the building's lobby, which was spacious and uncluttered. After repeated searches of the signage, they could not find any direct reference to Nomura's name. To further verify the information, the inspectors followed the address instructions to floors 15-17, where they discovered that the floor sign indicated the address as one of Thailand's largest banks.
After communicating with the bank's staff, the surveyors obtained key information: the office area was previously operated under the Nomura name, but the name was changed due to brand integration or business adjustments. The current operator is the same organization as the original Nomura, with only the external name updated. This means that Nomura and the current floor operator are the same company, under different names. The staff also confirmed that the office address has not changed, remaining on the 15th to 17th floors of the Bangkok Insurance Building, and allowed the surveyors access to the interior areas.
The on-site observations revealed a bustling and orderly office environment, with facilities meeting the standards of international financial institutions. The surveyors photographed the reception desk and signage, confirming that the office space is dedicated to exclusive use and not a shared office, completely ruling out the possibility of address fraud or misrepresentation.
Thus, the survey confirmed that the broker Nomura actually exists at the aforementioned address.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited Nomura as planned and observed the broker's company name and logo displayed prominently at the publicly shown business address, indicating the physical presence of the broker's business. Investors are advised to take all factors into consideration before making a decision.
