A Visit to Barclays in Japan – Office Found
Japan

Reasons for Field Survey

The Japanese foreign exchange market is one of the world's most important forex trading markets, boasting a long history, a mature financial system, and strict regulatory mechanisms. It holds a crucial position in the global forex market. With numerous participants and high trading activity, it is subject to strict oversight by regulatory agencies such as the Financial Services Agency of Japan, ensuring the market's standardized operation. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operations of forex dealers in the region, the field research team conducted an on-site visit to Japan.

Field Survey Process

This time, the on-site inspection team traveled to Tokyo as planned to visit the forex broker Barclays. Publicly available information indicates its office address is 31st Floor, Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, 6-10-1, Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 106-6131.

With a strong sense of responsibility to ensure stringent investor scrutiny, the professional and experienced inspection team traveled to Tokyo according to a carefully planned visit. Based on the publicly available address, they conducted a thorough on-site inspection of Barclays's operations, striving to accurately demonstrate the broker's operations.

Based on the address information, the surveyors traveled to the Roppongi area in Tokyo's Minato Ward and conducted an on-site verification of the Barclays brokerage, which claimed to be located at 31st Floor, Roppongi Hills Tower, 6-10-1, Roppongi, Minato Ward, Tokyo. This ensured that every key information was verified on-site, providing an objective and reliable reference for investors.

The surveyors successfully arrived at the target address, Roppongi Hills Tower. Located in Tokyo's core Roppongi business district, the building is a landmark, high-end office building, surrounded by world-renowned companies, high-end commercial facilities, and cultural venues. The overall environment is luxurious and elegant, with a strong business atmosphere and a strong international style. The surveyors conducted a comprehensive exterior inspection of the building. Although no Barclays signage was found, they successfully captured a panoramic view of the building, clearly capturing the exterior and surroundings of this high-end office building.

The surveyors then entered the building's lobby, which exuded a high-end feel, boasting a spacious and sophisticated layout, befitting the building's premium image. After explaining their purpose to the security guard, the surveyors were granted permission to remain in the lobby. They then focused on the company signage, clearly identifying Barclays's registered office location as the 31st floor of the building, which matched the publicly available address.

The surveyors attempted to proceed to the 31st floor to confirm the specific office location, but due to the building's strict security measures, which required prior appointments and verification of detailed identification, they were unable to obtain access to the target floor without an appointment and were ultimately unable to reach the 31st floor to inspect the specific office area.

Although they were unable to enter the company or the target floor, the clear information on the lobby signage, the building's premium image and formal management system, and the surveyors' thorough on-site inspection of the site confirmed that Barclays had a legitimate business location at that address. The inspection team also noted that it was impossible to capture the company's reception desk and logo from the building's exterior. On-site confirmation confirmed that the office space was not a shared office, further confirming the authenticity of the business.

Thus, the inspection confirmed the presence of Barclays at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited Barclays as planned and observed the broker's company name and logo displayed prominently at the publicly shown business address, indicating the physical presence of the broker's business. Investors are advised to take all factors into consideration before making a decision.
