IndustryImpulse Move vs Corrective Move
One of the simplest lessons I share with students is: don’t look at every move as a reversal. First understand the strength behind it. An impulse move is a strong and fast move in the direction of the main trend. You’ll often see larger candles, stronger momentum and price covering a significant distance in a short time. It shows that one side of the market is clearly more active. A corrective move is different. It is usually a temporary pullback against the main trend, with smaller or mixed candles and weaker momentum. It can simply mean that traders are booking profits or the market is taking a pause. For example: Uptrend → Impulse → Correction → New Impulse The important lesson is that a pullback doesn't automatically mean a reversal. Before making a decision, look at the market structure, momentum and context. Impulse = strength. Correction = pause. Learning to recognize the difference can make a chart much easier to understand. #PriceAction #ForexTrading #TradingEducation #GoldTrading #TechnicalAnalysis
