IndustryIs Rupee's Constant Decline a Matter of Concern?
The rupee seems to be falling apart against the USD. It hit another low of 88.19 (provisional) on September 1, 2025, with a dip of 10 paise over the previous close, amid Indo-US trade deal uncertainties and increased dollar demand from importers. Forex traders reckoned that the rupee opened on an even bad note and hit an intra-day low of 88.33 against the USD owing to constant outflow of foreign funds. The rupee’s slide does not seem to stop anytime soon. So, India’s importers may continue to shell out more for products purchased in USD.
