The constant foreign fund outflows are another obstacle in the rupee’s way, say forex traders. Additionally, President Donald Trump’s decision to hike import duties on Indian exports to as steep as 50% has jolted domestic market sentiments. The rupee, which commenced its journey at 87.56 at the interbank foreign exchange today, remained in a range of 87.52-87.75 before finishing the day at 87.71, recording a 13-paise decline from the previous close against the USD.
