IndustryRupee Up by Just 1 Paisa Against USD
The rupee moved just 1 paisa up to close at 86.40 (provisional) against the USD on July 24, 2025, tracking weak investor sentiments owing to overnight crude oil price recovery and risk aversion across global markets. According to forex traders, the uncertainty prevailing around the India-US trade deal has affected the forex market, putting the rupee in a tight trading range. The local currency’s upward movement was restricted owing to foreign fund outflows and a negative domestic equity market trend. At the interbank foreign exchange, the rupee made an opening of 86.33 against the greenback before touching an intra-day high of 86.24 and a low of 86.42 before closing at 86.40.
