Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell reiterated to the Senate Banking Committee in a second day of congressional testimony that the Fed still has plenty of room to delay rate cuts until the impact of tariff-induced inflation becomes clearer.
Financial markets are currently pricing in about a 25% chance of a rate cut at the July policy meeting, while the probability of a first rate cut in September is as high as 67%, according to CME's FedWatch tool.
Housing data on Wednesday showed a sharp drop of 13.7% in new home sales and a decline in applications for home loans due to higher mortgage rates.#VeteranIBSuccessStory#CommunityAMA#RealBrokerExperience
