People who search FXCM review or review FXCM may see global licences, a polished website, the RBI Alert List, and user comments. These facts do not answer the same question.
This review puts Indian rules first. It then checks one genuine FCA entity named in an official warning. The WikiFX page is used only as dated third-party context.
For FXCM broker and broker FXCM searches, the direct local evidence is the RBI list. It names FXCM at row 17. The page was updated on 19 November 2025.
RBI says the listed entities are neither authorised persons for forex under FEMA nor authorised electronic trading platforms. RBI also says the list is not exhaustive. This fact should guide the local forex decision, but it should not be stretched into a claim about every company or service in a global group.

Figure 1. The RBI Alert List names FXCM at row 17; the page was updated on 19 November 2025.
RBI's forex FAQ says residents may transact only with authorised persons and for permitted purposes. Electronic forex trades must use an RBI-authorised ETP or a recognised exchange under the stated rules.
The same FAQ says an Indian resident cannot use LRS to send margin or meet a margin call at an overseas exchange or counterparty. A working card or bank transfer screen does not prove that the transaction is permitted.

Figure 2. RBI's forex FAQ explains authorised persons, authorised ETPs, and the LRS limit on overseas margin remittances.
For a FXCM regulation or regulation FXCM search, the FCA page is useful but easy to misread. It warns about a separate clone that copied details from the genuine firm Stratos Markets Limited. The genuine firm has FRN 217689.
The FCA page clearly says the clone is not authorised and has no connection with the genuine firm. Therefore, the screenshot is not evidence that the genuine firm is a clone. It is evidence of a real authorised entity and a separate impersonation risk.
This overseas record still does not create RBI permission. An Indian user must identify the exact contract company, product, governing law, payment route, and complaint path.

Figure 3. The FCA warning identifies the genuine firm Stratos Markets Limited, FRN 217689, while separating it from the clone.
FXCM Login: Verify the Route Before Entering Details
For FXCM login or login FXCM, type the main official domain yourself. Do not start from a private message, a social media reply, or an advert that promises a bonus.
Read the legal company name shown before registration. If the page moves to another domain, return to the main site and confirm the link. A clone can copy a logo and page design, but it cannot change the official register.
A FXCM Forex or Forex FXCM page may show currencies, gold, indices, and CFDs. Leverage makes both gains and losses larger. A simple screen does not make the product simple.
Before any trade, read spread, commission, swap, margin, stop-out, contract size, slippage, and order rules. Ask how prices are formed and what happens when the market gaps. Then check whether the route is permitted for an Indian resident.
| Practical limit: A demo account can teach the screen. It cannot prove live execution, withdrawal speed, or a permitted payment route for an Indian resident. |
There is no contradiction in the evidence. Stratos Markets Limited can appear as a genuine FCA firm, while the RBI says FXCM is not an authorised forex person or ETP in India.
The mistake is to use one fact to erase the other. Overseas regulation helps identify a named company. RBI status controls the local forex question for an Indian resident.

One red flag may not prove a crime. It is still enough reason to stop, save the evidence, and contact an official channel.

Read both facts correctly. Do not call the genuine firm a clone, and do not treat its overseas record as Indian permission. For an Indian resident, RBI rules, the exact contract entity, the payment route, fees, and risk should come first.
